In the spirit of cloud technology we are talking about this
week, here is a cloud I found interesting. It is interesting how the internet
can be used for an art project like this. This project will be the result of collaboration
between a huge number of people, simply by having a web page and a plea for
help. Anyone with an incandescent light bulb that needs to be discarded can
take part in this project. This is such a simple way to participate in a
community project, and made accessible to many people. It would be interesting to see this project in
real life and see your light bulb if you chose to participate.
Blog for an English class where my goal is to look at color, textiles, fashion, and the sort and see how people share this inspiration in the online world. I will also be looking at how the actual set up and information on these pages works with this transfer of inspiration.

Posting Secrets
I am sure many of you have at least heard of, if not visited the site Post Secret. This is such an interesting form of communication for visitors of the site. People expose some of their deepest secrets to the whole world, yet it does not seem embarrassing since so many people do it. This way of communicating on the web is so much different than something like Facebook or Twitter where your identity is more easily revealed with an actual name and pictures. Post Secret is more cryptic, especially with secrets that only allude to a small part of the whole story, sometimes making it very confusing. However, there is always something new and interesting to see on the site. Maybe it is people's love of secrets and fantasy that has made Post Secret so successful, or maybe it is simply a release for people. Either way, there are sure to be interesting stories upon every visit to the site. I may just have to submit a secret one of these days...

What Are My Thoughts on Blogging?
Well, honestly I have never blogged before, but there have been a few blogs that I have come across that I have quite enjoyed. Most of these have to do with fabric or fashion design like Anna Maria Horner's blog. As her work relates to sewing and fabric design which are some of my biggest interests, I find blogs like this very inspiring. It is interesting how a blog can become a venue for bouncing ideas off other people in the field of art/fabric/fashion design.
It really is amazing to me just how much information can be put on one blog. After briefly looking up web design blogs I came across Web Design Ledger's site, which looks like it has an endless array of articles about the web design world. I am going to begin looking at blogs about the web and blogging and website design. This is a new area for me to look into, but it seems like it will be interesting.
